Nismo has opened its new global headquarters and development center in Yokohama, Japan.
Plans include developing a wide range of affordable performance Nissan models which will range from small cars to the firm’s flagship model, the GT-R. They said at least one Nismo model will be launched every year.
They already launched the Juke Nismo which is on sale in Europe and Japan, with plans of bringing it stateside in the second quarter of the year. Also available is the 370Z Nismo which has recently made its debut in Europe.
180 employees are working at Nismo’s new headquarters located inside Nissan’s Powertrain Engineering complex. This is the location for their workshop, rooms for fabrication, engine shop, grinding and composite processes, as well as a bigger showroom and a retail area double the size of the previous store in the Omori factory.
