Spotify arriving in Ford models equipped with SYNC AppLink

Ford has announced Spotify is now compatible with the company's SYNC AppLink system.

The on-demand music streaming service offers more than 20 million songs and is now available for more than one million Ford cars in the U.S. which are equipped with SYNC AppLink. Those with a premium subscription running the app on their iPhone can use voice commands for various functionalities, such as star/unstar track, now playing, choose playlist, play starred, play music, repeat on/off and shuffle on/off.

The driver is also able to play/pause, program the preset number keys, skip track forward/back and start album/artist/track radio. Spotify can also read when a friend sends the driver an album, a track, artist or playlist in his inbox.

The European version will be available soon in the Apple App Store.
