Nissan has officially introduced the 2013 Juke Nismo at the Chicago Auto Show.

Following its European launch last September in Paris, the Juke Nismo has reached stateside featuring a new body kit aimed to improve downforce by 37 percent. It has a lowered suspension, beefier 18-inch alloy wheels with Continental tires, LED daytime running lights, muscular wheel arches and red door mirrors.

Under the hood is an inline-four 1.6-liter DOHC turbocharged engine rated at 197 hp (147 kW) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque connected to a six-speed manual gearbox. The AWD version is equipped with a sport-tuned Xtronic CVT with manual mode. The FWD version returns an estimated 27 mpg city / 32 mpg highway, while the AWD variant can do 25 mpg city / 30 mpg highway.
