The 2014 Peugeot 308 has been spied once again, this time without the black camouflage at the front.

It will be revealed at Frankfurt Motor Show this September or in March 2014 during the Geneva Motor Show. The French compact hatchback is expected to grow in size as it will be both longer and wider than the current model. It will implement Peugeot's most recent design language seen initially on the smaller 208.

Engine lineup details are not available for the moment, but it's safe to say the next generation of the 308 will be available with several frugal four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, with power varying from 90 (67 kW) to 160 hp (119 kW). Peugeot will also launch a range-topping 308 GTi which should offer around 200 hp (149 kW).

The next-gen 308 will be available not only as a five-door hatchback, but also as a three-door coupe, an estate and as a convertible.
