The third generation of the Octavia is now on sale so it's only logical the Czech automaker is working on the hotter RS version. Seen in these spy photos is the estate variant which we've showed you in its standard form yesterday.

Compared to the stock model, the RS variant will come with larger alloy wheels, trapezoidal-shaped front air intakes, two exhaust pipes and a small spoiler at the back. The most significant change will be the 2.0-liter TFSI turbo engine borrowed from the upcoming Golf VII GTI. The mill will produce about 220 hp (164 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm).

The Skoda Octavia RS will most likely be presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show and go on sale shortly after.
