Honda will be presenting a concept version of the upcoming European-release Accord at September's Frankfurt Motor Show. Details are yet to follow however it is expected that the Accord Tourer Concept will hint heavily at Honda's next-generation Accord model for Europe. The production version hits UK showrooms from mid next year.
The concept will sport a 'lower, wider look', signalling a sportier styling approach, while innovative new chassis technology will ensure an improved driver experience without comprimising on ride comfort. It will be powered by a range of advanced, low-emitting engines.
Honda's stand at Frankfurt is based around two key themes: Sports and the Environment.
The firm will be showcasing 'greener' technologies on the Environment section, focusing on petrol-electric hybrids. The Small Hybrid Concept Car, presented at this year's Geneva Show, demonstrates 'the rare fusion of advanced hybrid technology and exciting sports car characteristics'. Also on the stand will be the FCX Concept, shown first at the Los Angeles Show last year, with its fully-functioning zero-emissions fuel cell technology. The Sports area of the stand will showcase the current Honda F1 racing car alongside the Civic Type R and S2000 production models.
