CAR is previewing the next-gen BMW M3 in its latest issue. It will be seen first as a preview concept in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
The magazine's editors say these are official images of the 2014 BMW M3 shown in a bright yellow finish. The sedan is set to get a straight-six turbo engine producing 444 hp (331 kW) which will probably be carried over to the M4 Coupe.
CAR says it will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch (M-DCT) transmission which later on will be getting an eight ratio. The new M3 boasts a revised mechanical differential at the rear axle and is expected to have a curb weight of less than 1,500 kg (3,306 lbs) thanks to a CFRP roof, ceramic brakes (optionally available), while the doors, hood and boot lid will be made from aluminum.
