The Juke Nismo favors style over performance, but now there's word that Nissan is developing a sportier variant.

According to Autocar's sources, the upgraded model will feature a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with approximately 230 HP (169 kW) and 220 lb-ft (298 Nm) of torque. It will reportedly be offered with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission or all-wheel drive with a continuously variable transmission.

The model will also have a sport-tuned suspension with new springs and shock absorbers as well as unique damping rates.

If everythings pans out, the sportier Juke will go on sale towards the end of the year.
