Gazoo Racing has officially unveiled the Toyota Mark X G Sports Carbon Roof concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Designed to capitalize on the lightweight construction techniques pioneered on the Lexus LFA, the Mark X G Sports has been equipped with a carbon fiber roof that enables the car to weigh 6 kg (13 lbs) less than the standard model. The reduced weight also lowers the car's center of gravity by 3.5mm.

Power is provided by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that churns out 318 HP (234 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels.
