The first official images of the 2014 Lexus IS F-SPORT have surfaced the web, following one last teaser released by Lexus earlier today.
Set to make its public debut at next week's Detroit Motor Show, the revamped IS borrows some of its styling cues from the LF-CC, including the now familiar spindle grille and a coupe-like roofline. Both head and taillights have received the LED treatment, while the sides show a resemblance with the GS.
There aren't any confirmed details about the engine lineup, but a V6 2.5-liter with 200+ hp (149+ kW) and a V6 3.5-liter with 300+ hp (224+ kW) are almost a certainty. A hybridized version with a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter pushing out approximately 240 hp (179 kW) is also very possible.
Moving inside the cabin we notice the absence of a speedometer, a look inspired from the recently discontinued LFA. It has a generous digital display showing all the relevant info the driver would need. Compared to the outgoing model, the 2014 IS interior cabin looks significantly better with more premium materials and a different layout of the dashboard.
An official reveal should occur later on today.
