Jaguar’s global brand director has hinted at the possibility of offering an XFR Sportbrake.
Speaking with Autocar, Adrian Hallmark said the model would be an “interesting project” and useful as a halo model. However, he conceded it would be a challenge to use the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 510 HP (375 kW) and 625 Nm (461 lb-ft) of torque. As the executive explained "It would be tricky to re-engineer the self-leveling rear suspension to cope with the high performance of such an engine."
Despite the difficulties, Hallmark hinted that it would be “interesting” to have a limited production run of 300 to 400 units.
