The 6.3 liter V8 produces 457 hp (336 kW) with 600 Nm of torque and manages to sprint to 100 km/h from stand-still in 4.6 seconds while its top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
Unique high-performance estate
Hot on the heels of the Audi RS 6 Avant Mercedes releases its own high powered sports wagon, the Mercedes C 63 AMG Estate. The 6.3 liter V8 produces 457 hp (336 kW) with 600 Nm of torque and manages to sprint to 100 km/h from stand-still in 4.6 seconds while its top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
The estate puts those horses to the tarmac with AMG's Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission which comes in three modes, C, S and M. The C63 AMG Estate comes with 18 or 19 inch wheels and high-performance brakes to put all the power to rest again.
Design is more distinctive than ever with its AMG bodystyling which consists of a power dome on the bonnet, AMG grille, flared front wings, AMG rear apron and AMG sports exhaust system with two chromed twin tailpipes. The interior has received its own treatment with AMG sports seats, three spoke AMG steering wheel with paddle shifters, tube-style AMG instrument cluster and an optional AMG carbon trim.
The C63 AMG Estate holds 485 liters in the rear which can be extended to 1500 liters with the rear seats down. Expect the estate in showrooms early 2008 with a price tag of EUR 69,853.
