VIA Motors has announced plans to introduce three new range-extended electric vehicles at the North American International Auto Show.

Details are limited, but the company says they will unveil a 12-passenger van, a luxurious four-wheel drive crossover and a high-performance pick-up truck. The latter model sounds intriguing as there will be an X-Truck variant with four-wheel drive and 800 hp (597 kW).

In a statement, VIA Motors President Alan Perriton said "These three new offerings demonstrate VIA's commitment to electrify the top-selling vehicles that use the most gas and can therefore benefit the most from converting to low-cost electric fuel, while at the same time, reducing more emissions to benefit the communities they serve."
