Porsche is previewing the first track-only version of the new 911 (991).
The 2012 911 GT3 Cup had the same specifications as the 911 GT3 RS, a tradition which should be carried onto the new generation. The regular 2013 911 GT3 will probably make its official debut next March at the Geneva Motor Show.
According to AutoBlog.nl, Porsche will fully reveal the Cup version tomorrow. Based on their sources, it will offer the same 450 HP (331 kW) output as the 2012 model, but will get an updated gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddles. Tires and hubs are borrowed from the current GT3 R, while the front of the car is made from aluminum.
