China-based Qoros brand has published some of its design studies before next year's Geneva debut.
Their first model will be a compact four-door sedan previewed in these sketches. Adopting European-inspired styling, the sedan is scheduled to make its public debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Qoros plans to sell this model starting in late 2013 in China, followed by Europe in early 2014.
Reflecting "shapes and elements of modern German automobile design", the compact sedan has a vertically slotted radiator grille that forms an isosceles trapezoid with the second chrome bar in the lower air duct. Inside the cabin we notice a minimalistic design with a built-in 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Design studies look very nice, but if history has taught us anything is that there usually are big differences between sketches like these and the real production car.
Unlike most Chinese automakers, Qoros has set an objective to engineer all cars to receive maximum NCAP crash ratings.
A full description of the design studies is available in the attached press release.
