9ff has updated its GT9 with this new Vmax version that will be presented at the 2012 Essen Motor Show starting tomorrow.

The original GT9 came out in 2008 and was able to hit a top speed of 248 mph (400 km/h). The Porsche specialist tuner from Papenburg, Germany is back with the Vmax edition that promises to achieve an impressive Bugatti Veyron Super Sport-beating top speed of 271.54 mph (437 km/h).

It's powered by a flat six 4.2-liter bi-turbo engine with a boost pressure of 2 bar, capable of producing 1400 HP (1029.7 kW) at 7,950 rpm and 855 lb-ft (1,160 Nm) at 5,600 rpm. The engine is connected to a sequential six-speed gearbox with steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.

The rear of the carbon fiber body has been entirely redesigned, while the back and side windows are manufactured from makrolon (a high-tech polycarbonate). As a result, the GT9 Vmax has a curb weight of 2,954 lbs (1,340 kg).

At the front it rides on 9x19 wheels with 255/35 ZR 19 rubbers while at the back it has 12.5x20 with 335/30 ZR20 Continental Vmax tires. It needs 3.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph), 6.8 seconds to hit 200 km/h (124 mph) and 13 seconds until 300 km/h (186 mph).

Pricing begins from 895,000 EUR (excluding VAT).

A big thanks to Sport Auto's Christian Gebhardt!
