Mercedes-Benz is previewing the 2013 Arocs dump truck ahead of its official debut in April 2013 at the Bauma trade fair.
It will be offered with a choice of 16 Euro VI-complaint engines with outputs varying from 238 hp (175 kW) to 625 hp (460 kW). A novelty in a construction vehicle will be the Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated transmission fitted as standard.
Many drive configurations will be available, ranging from the 4x2 two-axle models with RWD to the 8x8/4 four-axle with AWD and two steering front axles. Other examples include the four-axle versions with one front and three rear axles, a load-optimized concrete-mixer chassis with single-tired drive tandem or a wide range of air-sprung models.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz Arocs will be offered with a choice of seven cabs available in 14 different versions, including 2.3m cabs in L, M or S versions, along with 2.5m models that have a level cab floor.
