Starting with 2014, Porsche dealers in U.S. will be able to use a test track to attract customers.

Porsche is working on a 100m USD 26-acre complex in Atlanta which will be inaugurated in 2014. According to CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Detlev von Platen, this will include a 1.6-mile test track which dealers will be able to use for enticing potential customers. Dealers will have the possibility of booking time for individual clients or they will be able to reserve the test track for an entire day and bring in a group.

The firm's new headquarters is located near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and approximately 80 percent of the population in U.S. is within a two-hour flight of Atlanta, says von Platen. Porsche estimates that 20,000 visitors will take part in this customer experience center each year. The manager of the center James Taylor says that as many as 15 percent of the visits could be arranged through dealerships.
