Kia has quietly announced plans to introduce the 2014 Forte sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Essentially a renamed version of the K3, the model will feature elegant styling which closer resembles newer vehicles like the Rio and Optima. Notable highlights include a prominent grille, LED-infused headlights and a rakish windscreen. There's also an upward sweeping shoulder line, chrome accents and distinctive taillights.
The cabin will also become more luxurious as it adopts higher quality materials and an improved design. Detailed information hasn't been released, but we can expect high-end amenities such as heated and ventilated front seats as well as an UVO infotainment system.
North American engine specifications remain unconfirmed but the Korean variant is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 140 HP (103 kW) and 167 Nm (123 lb-ft) of torque.
