Following an initial teaser launched earlier this week, Chevrolet has revealed the 2014 Spark EV ahead of its L.A. debut.
Power is provided by an electric motor with 130 hp (100 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque that guarantees a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 8 seconds. Available shortly after the car's launch will be a SAE combo charger with fast charging support that will fill the batteries to an 80 percent level in about 20 minutes.
Featuring a 20 kW lithium-ion battery pack, the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV needs less than seven hours for a full charge from a 240V outlet, with support for remote managing and monitoring via an OnStar smartphone app.
It is scheduled to arrive in Californian dealerships next summer.
