The Ford Ranger has won the "International Pick-Up Award 2013" thanks to its "on- and off-road prowess, strong engine lineup."
The Ford Ranger has won the “International Pick-Up Award 2013”, representing Blue Oval’s third international award this year.
Following a series of tests at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, England where it was awarded 47 points, the Ford Ranger has been given this award and it managed to earn more than the combined number points obtained by second and third place occupants, the Isuzu D-Max and Volkswagen Amarok.
The Ford Ranger is available with a choice of two Duratorq TDCi engines and 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains, along with three cab body styles: Double, Super and Regular.
Earlier this year the Blue Oval company with its Transit Custom won the “International Van of the Year 2013”, as well as the “International Engine of the Year” thanks to the 1.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine.
