The 2014 Audi TT will reportedly return to its roots to recapture the spirit of the original model.
According to a recent report, the 2014 Audi TT will return to its roots to recapture the spirit of the original model.
Autocar says the next-generation TT will have an expressive design with angular headlights, a contoured clamshell hood and a rounded rear end with a power deployable rear spoiler. We can also expect prominent wheel arches and the company's trademark grille.
The model is slated to ride on the MQB platform which will allow for a shorter front overhang, a longer wheelbase and wider tracks. There could also be additional aluminum for weight reductions and improved handling. Speaking of the latter, Audi is reportedly targeting the car to deliver the same sportiness as the Porsche Boxster.
Engine options will likely include the new 1.8- and 2.0-liter EA888 petrols as well as a revised 2.0-liter TDI. The TT RS is also slated to return with an upgraded 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine.
