A fourteen-year-old girl from Dearborn, Michigan is rebuilding a Pontiac Fiero from the ground up.
Two years ago Kathryn DiMaria asked her parents to start this ambitious project, even offering to provide the necessary funding. In this CNN video the girl and her father are participating at Maker Faier where they are rebuilding a V6 3.4-liter engine sourced from a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the stock 2.8-liter unit in the Fiero.
Kathryn’s mother has taught her how to sew so that she could finish the interior cabin, while her father provided the necessary technical assistance. Even her sister is helping out by taking photos of the progress made so far.
Hopefully, the car will be finished before she gets her license.
