The SEMA Motor Show is less than a day away and Volkswagen has announced plans to introduce a variety of Beetles at the event.
First up, the APR-VWvortex Beetle Turbo has been transformed into a 500 bhp (373 kW) all-wheel drive monster. It features an APR Stage IV GTX turbocharger, an upgraded fuel system, a high-performance intercooler and a new ECU. There's also high-flow cylinder heads, high-strength pistons and a new intake manifold. Other goodies include a DXD Racing Stage III clutch, a short-throw shifter and an APR RSC turboback exhaust system.
To keep things under control, the model has been equipped with an H&R coilover suspension, Volkswagen Racing StreetSport+ camber plates and H&R sport sway bars.
On the styling front, the car has a matte Azure Blue Metallic exterior with modified bumpers and 19-inch fifteen52 Formula TR wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Volkswagen will also show off the Beach Battle Beetle which has a surf-inspired design with an FMS Automotive body kit, a surfboard rack and a deployable shower system. Thanks to a Revo Technik turbocharger and new intake / exhaust systems, the engine develops approximately 400 bhp (298 kW).
Next up, the Galpin Auto Sports Beetle has hot rod-inspired styling with a chopped roof and a two-tone Onyx Black / Candy Apple Red paint job. It rides on a lowered suspension and has 20-inch wheels with a "vintage Porsche" design.
FMS Automotive will also display a fully restored 1956 Beetle and a modified 2012 Beetle with a two-tone exterior, H&R springs, Rostra LED lights and a custom fabricated dual exhaust system.
Lastly, the Rotiform Beetle has a matte gray aluminum wrap, an Air Lift suspension and concave wheels with Nitto performance tires.
