Neiman Marcus sold all 12 units of the special McLaren 12C Spider within two hours after beginning to take orders.
Approximately two weeks ago Neiman Marcus announced that a special edition of the McLaren 12C Spider will be featured in their annual Christmas Book.
On October 24 they started accepting orders and within two hours all 12 units were sold at a price tag of $354,000.
The convertible is wearing a Volcano Red paint and has a V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine that generates 616 hp (460 kW) and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. The power unit is mated to a dual-clutch, 7-speed gearbox allowing the 12C Spider to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h).
Those who placed an order for the car will also get that luggage set, a business-class trip for two to the UK where they will take a tour of the McLaren Technology Center and also have a VIP dinner with McLaren’s chairman Ron Dennis. The Coworth Park Hotel will be the place for two nights of accommodations.
