Chevrolet is previewing a future version of the Sonic sedan with this production-intent Dusk edition that will be exposed next week at the SEMA show, along with the rest of the firm’s lineup. This new package includes 18-inch alloys with a Pearl Nickel finish, a rear spoiler and stainless steel lower window moldings. In addition, a matte finish was applied on the rear license plate trim, door handle inserts and on the upper and lower grilles.
Moving inside the cabin we find the seats wrapped around in Jet Black leather with suede accents and Mojave tan inserts. Chevrolet also used Mojave accent stitching and tan-color accents for the instrument and door panels. This vehicle comes with the company’s MyLink infotainment system that integrates a smartphone and stored media with the radio.
At the heart of the Chevrolet Sonic Dusk is a 1.4-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine that develops 138 hp (103 kW) and a peak torque of 148 lb-ft (200 Nm) available between 1,850 rpm and 4,900 rpm. This engine can be connected to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
