Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Rafale special edition bows in Brazil

Bugatti cranks out special editions faster than the Germans make sauerkraut, so it comes as little surprise the French automaker has introduced another bespoke model at the Sao Paulo Motor Show.

Based on the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, the Rafale features unique alloy wheels and a two-tone exterior with "Gris Rafale" paint and blue carbon fiber. The cabin has lake blue leather seats, light grey stitching and blue carbon fiber trim.

Like the standard model, the Rafale has a quad-turbocharged 7.9-liter W16 engine that produces 1,200 HP (882 kW) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which enables the roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 410 km/h (255 mph).

The special edition costs €1.9 ($2.5 / £1.5) million which represents a €210,000 ($274,175 / £171,150) increase over the standard model.
