Nissan DeltaWing hit by a Porsche GTC class car during Road Atlanta testing [video]

A Nissan DeltaWing driven by Gunnar Jeannette was hit in the left rear wheel during the Road Atlanta testing by a Porsche GTC class car. Based on the telemetry system, the powerful impact was measured at 7Gs but luckily the driver escaped without any serious injuries.

Before the accident, the Nissan DeltaWing established the fastest time on the 2.54-mile Road Atlanta circuit, finishing a lap in 1 minute and 13.686 seconds. The team started repairing the car immediately after the accident and they plan on returning to the circuit tomorrow.
