Ferrari F70 will not be showcased at 2013 NAIAS in Detroit

The Ferrari F70 will not be presented in January 2013 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

It seems that the highly anticipated Ferrari F70 will not be making an appearance in January at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), despite last week’s report. According to AutoBlog, the Italian company has not finalized the launch plans for the firm’s upcoming flagship model.

Ferrari might consider unveiling the Enzo successor separate from all the big car shows so that they can grab as much attention as possible. A possible reason why they won’t bring the car to the 2013 NAIAS is because Maserati will unveil the new generation of the Quattroporte so they don’t want to steal its thunder.

According to previous reports, the Ferrari F70 is expected to get a V12 engine with an F1-inspired KERS system that will pump out a combined output of 920 hp (686 kW). The supercar could have a curb weight of only 1134 kg (2500 lbs) thanks to a 20 percent lighter chassis.
