Rolls-Royce Hyperion is for sale once again [video]

At the beginning of this month we talked about an Aston Martin One-77 Q-Series that was up for sale in Dubai at Al Ain Class Motors, a place where a bunch of G65 AMGs were up for grabs in August. The latest entry in the dealer’s inventory is even more impressive, the one-off Rolls-Royce Hyperion designed by Pininfarina.

This isn’t the first time when the Hyperion is for sale as it was listed back in 2009 on for a cool 4.5 million euros, while two years later it was again available in Dubai. Al Ain Class Motors is selling the one-off Rolls-Royce for 2,933,000 euros so it’s cheaper than it was in previous listings.

To refresh your memory, the car is based on the Phantom Drophead Coupe and it was commissioned by Roland Hall, a wealthy British car collector. This superb design belongs to Jason Castriota who was also in charge with the looks of other great cars such as the SSC Tuatara, Maserati GranTurismo and the Ferrari P4/5.

In order to free up 400mm of space, the car’s rear seats were removed. It has carbon fiber body work but the doors are wooden. Under that very long hood is a large V12 6.75-liter naturally-aspirated engine that generates 460 hp (343 kW) and a peak torque of 531 lb-ft (720 Nm). The power is sent to the wheels with the help of a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
