The 2013 Citroen C4 Picasso has been spied undergoing testing.

Designed to battle the Opel Zafira and Ford C-Max, the egg-shaped MPV has an evolutionary design with a sloping roofline and small windows behind the A-pillar. The camouflage makes additional details hard to spot, but we can see a rounded front bumper, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and a nearly horizontal shoulder line.

Engine options remain unconfirmed, but choices will likely be carried over from the standard model. This means petrol options could include a VTi 95, a VTi 120 and a THP 155. On the diesel side, there could be an HDi 90, an HDi 110 and an HDi 150.

The 2013 C4 Picasso could be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show or next year's Geneva Motor Show.
