Honda's CEO has confirmed that the Civic Type R will make a comeback in 2015 in Europe.

Honda’s CEO Takanobu has confirmed that the Japanese automaker will launch a new generation of the Civic Type R in 2015 for the European market. Unfortunately we don’t have any sketches or renderings with the model but we can tell you that it is being developed specifically for the European market and it will boast the technology developed by Honda’s WTCC division. They also said that this new Civic Type R will be the quickest FWD car on the Nürburgring.

In related news, Honda plans on introducing next year in Europe a replacement for the Fit while later on they will launch a small SUV based on the new generation of the Fit/Jazz. In addition, the future lineup will also include a replacement for the City sedan.

Besides launching a new version of the NSX, Honda will also unveil a new open-top sports car with “strong vehicle dynamics” which is scheduled for a 2014 release in Japan. One year later, they will introduce an entirely new fuel cell vehicle (FCV) in Japan, United States and Europe.
