The teamed that worked on the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione has published a rendering of a possible P4/5 LMP. They’re plans are to build this car for the 2014 season and these renderings and sketches are the first step to grab some attention in order to obtain the necessary sponsorship.
We remind you that earlier this year the P4/5 Competizione broke the Nürburgring lap record (for a Ferrari) when James Glickenhaus finished the lap in 6 minutes 51 seconds, slashing 7 seconds off the Ferrari 599 FXX’s previous record. This car is based on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia and was created by Pininfarina. It will return with more updates on the Nurburgring this October 27th with the occasion of the FIA World Championship Alternate Energy Cup.
It is important to mention that starting with 2014 the LMP1 rules will change and alternative fuel cars might represent a possibility so the P4/5 with its KERS hybrid system might represent a viable solution.
Let’s just hope that they’ll gather enough funds to create this beauty.
