Smart forstars debuting in Paris

The smart forstars is a Sports Utility Coupe (SUC) fitted with a 60 kW magneto-electric motor.

This is yet another concept wearing the Smart badge, this time it’s called the forstars. It’s an EV described as being a Sports Utility Coupe (SUC) that can provide room for two people and a lot of stowage space. The name of the car has to do with the glass roof which provides a clear view of the sky. In addition, it comes with a video projector integrated in the hood which “enables the work on film stars to be spontaneously shared with friends at any time.”

This interesting concept will be show at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in late September where it will feature an “alubeam rouge” color and the 60 kW magneto-electric motor borrowed from the smart Brabus electric drive, enough for a top speed of more than 80 mph (130 km/h).

The forstars is 3550mm long, 1710mm wide and 1505mm tall, with a 2470mm wheelbase (603mm longer than the fortwo). In addition, the tracks are also wider by 193mm at the front and 90mm at the back, while most of the body features are shared with the for-us concept. It comes with a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack while the aforementioned electric motor has a 99 lb-ft (135 Nm) torque.
