BMW has announced a special edition of the 7-Series to mark the 25th anniversary of the V12 engine.

BMW has decided to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the V12 engine by introducing a special edition of the 760Li which will only be available in the United States. The German carmaker plans on bringing only 15 units of this special 7-Series model and these will be delivered in early 2013. Prices start at $159,695 including destination and handling charges.

For this money clients will get the 2013 BMW 760Li with the massive V12 twin turbo 6.0-liter engine that produces 535 hp (399 kW) and 550 lb-ft (744 Nm) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph sprint in 4.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph. Those who opt for the M Sport Package will be able to hit a top speed of 155 mph.

To make it more special than the standard model, this limited edition 7-Series rides on 20-inch Individual wheel style 301 rims wrapped around in performance tires, while some of the additional goodies include a rear seat entertainment system with iDrive, piano black wood inlay in steering wheel, A/B/C pillars in black leather and Alcantara headliner in champagne.

Correction: US models will not get the "V-12 25 Years Edition" badging on the trunk lid. More details are available in the press release below.
