In Total Recall (2012), the designers at Chrysler have given some thought on how could a 2084 Chrysler or Doge hovercraft might look like.
The original Total Recall came out in 1990 and now 22 years later a reboot of the movie will premiere today. For the new motion picture, the designers at Chrysler have given some thought on how could a 2084 Chrysler or Doge hovercraft might look like. These hovercrafts are also showcased in a new TV commercial for the 2012MY Chrysler 200 Convertible, while a similar spot for the Chrysler 300 is also planned.
The hovercraft was created by Sir Christopher Cockerell that considered it to be the "mother of frustration" since it wasn't "neither an airplane, nor a boat, nor a wheeled land craft". Some people said that the frustration regarding the invention of the hovercraft had to do with the fact that this never made him wealthy.
Even so, ever since it was created, the hovercraft has made numerous appearances in James Bond movies like Moonraker (1979) or Die Another Day (2002). Other motion pictures with hovercrafts include Rumble In The Bronx (1996), From Justin To Kelly (2003) and Shut Up And Kiss Me (2004).
