Dubbed the AS7, the sport focused executive model gets a power boost to 520 HP (382 kW / 513 bhp) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) compared to the standard 420 PS (309 kW / 414 bhp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). Abt hasn't specified how they arrived at this increase in power, but we suspect some ECU reprogramming plus modifications to the air intake and exhaust system on this 4.0-liter TFSI twin-turbo V8 are the main ingredients. As a result, top speed has been increased to 290 km/h (180 mph) compared to the standard electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
As far as aesthetics go, Abt only added their own 21-inch alloy wheels, but the suspension has been given sport springs for a tauter ride. Alternatively, Abt offers a lower air suspension setting called Abt Level Control.
Lastly, Abt tells us they are also working on a similar program for the new Audi S6 which uses the same engine.
