At least that is what their chief rivals would probably wish, but fortunately the development model caught here was simply driving at a snail pace that allowed a passing cyclist to quickly whip out his camera and get a couple of short clips.

The prototype appears to be wearing a similar amount of camouflage as we have seen on recent sightings. Upon launch we expect to see a design that has drawn its inspiration from the  F125 and F800 and F700 Research Concepts.

Engine options are expected to mirror the current model, albeit with some updates and modifications that will improve fuel efficiency and emissions. These should include a 250 CDI, a S350 CDI, a S300 Bluetec hybrid and S400 Bluetec hybrid. The S500 (aka S550), S600, S63 AMG and S65 AMG are also set to be retained in the line-up.
