Aston Martin has officially lifted the lid off the new 2013 V12 Vantage Roadster following the leak that occurred last week. The model certainly sports a far sexier outlook compared the previous images with a white exterior color that goes superbly with the red soft top and matching interior.
Muscle for the model is drawn from the brand's naturally-aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine that pumps 517PS (380kW/510hp) and 570Nm (420 lb ft) of torque. It allows the model to thrust from standstill to 100kph (62mph) in 4.5 seconds before hitting max velocity at 190mph / 305kph.
The engine performance depends on the driver selected performance mode. The standard Normal mode is for a more relaxed quieter drive, while the Sport mode will give the Roadster a more dynamic response.
General specifications for the Roadster mirror the Coupe version, however the chassis required unique revisions that included a modified rear damper set-up, damper valve tuning and a new rear spring design. It also benefits from Aston Martin Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires that contribute towards the straight line performance as well as driving dynamics.
The body boasts a number of carbon fiber components that helps keep the kerb weight down to a minimum. These include the side strakes, front splitter, rear diffuser, mirror caps and rear lamp infills.
Selected markets are immediately ready to take orders for the new V12 Vantage Roadster with pricing confirmed to start at £150,000.
