Renault has released additional information about the 2013 Espace.
Modestly updated, the model features a new front fascia with a revised grille and a larger Renault logo.
Interior changes are limited, but the cabin gains GPS navigation, Bluetooth/AUX/USB connectivity and Teflon-coated upholstery that repels water and oil-based liquids. The model can also be equipped with leather / Alcantara seats, a rearview camera and a rear seat entertainment system with two seven-inch displays.
Under the hood, two different engines are available. The 2.0-liter dCi has outputs of 130 PS (96 kW / 128 hp), 150 PS (110 kW / 148 hp) and 175 PS (129 kW / 173 hp). When connected to a manual transmission, the engine averages 5.7 L/100km (41.3 mpg US / 49.6 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 150 g/km. With the automatic gearbox, the figures drop to 6.4 L/100km (36.8 mpg US / 44.1 mpg UK) and 169 g/km.
Likewise, the turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine averages 8.5 L/100km (27.7 mpg US / 33.2 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 198 g/km.
