The Opel / Vauxhall Astra Cabrio has been caught once again by spy photographers, but this time with less camouflage and without its safety rollbar.

Seen here mostly with the roof down, the Astra Cabrio, which could be named something completely different, loses the last bits of black plastic body cladding in exchange for contrasting black and white vinyl wrap which is more in form to the actual body panels.

Despite the previous generation Astra Twin-Top incorporating a two-part retractable hardtop, here we clearly see a soft-top roof. This time around, Opel engineers instead opted for the soft top due to improvements on the roof's fabric material in terms of noise and durability.

Production for the Astra Cabrio is set to commence next year in Gliwice, Poland.
