Lexus has unveiled the IS F CCS-R race car, ahead of its debut at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on July 8th.

Dressed in orange mica paint, the model has carbon fiber bodywork, polycarbonate windows and 18-inch alloy wheels with Yokohama ADVAN NEOVA A050 tires.

The stripped-out cabin features a carbon fiber dashboard, auxiliary gauges, lightweight bucket seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Thanks to these modifications, the car weighs 3,087 lbs (1,400 kg) which is 693 lbs (314 kg) less than the standard model.

Motivation is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 416 hp (310 kW / 422 PS) and 371 lb-ft (502 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential.
