We're still waiting for Audi to unveil the RS5 Cabrio, but a new report is indicating the model will be sold in the United States.

Citing paperwork filed with the California Air Resources Board, Car & Driver is reporting the company is gearing up to introduce the high-performance convertible in America. While this was expected, since the coupe has already been confirmed for the U.S., it's always nice to know that Audi is committed to offering RS variants on the other side of the Atlantic.

Like the coupe, the RS5 Cabrio is slated to feature a 4.2-liter V8 engine with 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission and a quattro all-wheel drive system which should enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds.
