Nissan Juke-R priced at $590K

Just last week Nissan announced the hyper-spastic Juke-R concept would be built in a very limited build-to-order basis. Soon after the announcement, Nissan Americas Vice President, David P. Reuter said in corresponding with Inside Line that the production Juke-R would carry a price of around $590,000 (€450,000).

"We will make Juke-R available to customers anywhere in the world on a build-to-order basis. It is intended for serious collectors and investors who want to own a true original, an innovative project that will only be created in extremely small numbers."

Reuter didn't give any clues about the total number of units expected to be produced, but has reported Nissan will cap it to be between 20 to 25 units.

The made-to-order Juke-Rs promises to be an even bigger skorcher than the original concept car, which was based on the 2010 Nissan GT-R with 485 bhp (362 kW / 492 PS). Instead, the new Juke-R will feature the upgraded drivetrain and chassis of the 2012 GT-R which outputs 545 hp (406 kW / 553 PS) and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque.

Production of the first three units ordered is already underway with delivery planned for late summer.
