The RAV4 EV offers a driving range of up to 100 miles (161 km) while recharging can be completed in six hours using a 240V/40A charger. Power from the electric powertrain is rated at 154hp (115kW/156PS) and performance is dependent on whether the sport or normal driving mode is selected. If the sport option is active, the RAV4 EV can accelerate from 0-100kph(0-62mph) in 7 seconds and has a maximum speed of 100mph (161kph).

Sales are due to commence in California towards the end of the summer before it arrives in other selected markets.
