The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster has already been snapped by our spy photographers, but we're starting to learn new details about the supercar's advanced roof.

Quattroruote is reporting the model will have a removable, two-section carbon fiber roof panel. This will enable the roadster to use the same rear section as the coupe which will lower production costs and speed up development.

As we have previously reported, the roadster will be powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 700 PS (515 kW / 690 hp) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a seven-speed transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
