Founder of shut down internet firm MegaUpload.com, Kim Dotcom (aka Kim Schmitz), has recently uploaded to YouTube a film he commissioned prior to being arrested and his personal assets confiscated by the New Zealand authorities pending copyright infringement proceedings.

The film shot at the Nürburgring Nordschleife features himself, former F1 world champion and Lotus driver Kimi Räikkönen, and business partner Finn Batato in three Mercedes Benz AMG CLK DTM cars all owned by Dotcom to explore a full lap around the famous Nürburgring circuit.

The production involved 30 cameras, 100+ crew, 2 helicopters, 2 camera cars and one fixed wing aircraft plus 20 laps to capture the necessary footage.

"It's a homage to the Nürburgring, the CLK DTM and Kimi Räikkönen, one of the best drivers in the world," Dotcom states. "I used to play Forza and Need for Speed on Xbox Live. Those games inspired me to create a video that looks like the replay of a perfect lap on the 'Ring. I know it isn't perfect, but I tried," Dotcom explains further.

"I DID NOT WIN against Kimi. I never could. We had to remove the air from his tires to keep up. And even then it was impossible."

Dotcom adds that the final edit of the film was seized by the FBI during the MegaUpload raid and hopefully he will upload it as soon as it is returned to him, if ever.
