Renault has unveiled the Talisman luxury sedan at the Beijing Motor Show today.

Positioned as Renault's new flagship sedan for the Chinese market, the Talisman represents "casual luxury" targeted to young businessmen where value for money is a priority.

As previously suspected, the Talisman is a rebadged Samsung SM7 built in Korea and will be exported to China starting in mid-June 2012 with a base price of 318 800 RMB (38 652 euros).

Renault has not released specifications yet but engine options will likely mirror the SM7 with a 2.5-liter V6 with 190 PS (140 kW / 187 hp) and 243 Nm (179 lb-ft) of torque as well as a 3.5-liter V6 which produces 258 PS (190 kW / 254 hp) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque.
