Audi has arrived in Beijing for 2012 Auto China with three brand new concepts. One of which is the Audi A6 L e-tron Concept and here are the first images and details. The plug-in hybrid primarily previews of the long-wheel-base version of the A6 sedan which is the company's best selling model in the Chinese market.
Styling has been updated to differentiate it from the production model. It includes a single frame grille with horizontal chrome bars, a special rear diffuser and it is also treated to a set of 21-inch wheels with an e-tron design.
Dimensions measure 5.02 meters (16.47 feet) length, 1.87 meters (6.14 feet) wide and 1.46 meters (4.79 feet) tall while the wheelbase is 3.01 meters (9.88 feet).
The powertrain consists of a 2.0 TFSI engine with 211 PS (155kW/208hp) coupled with an electric motor with 95 PS (70kW/94hp) that is powered by a rear positioned liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery. It allows the A6 L to travel up to 80km(50 miles) in all-electric mode if travelling at a constant speed of 60kph (37 mph).
