Mercedes has officially unveiled the Concept Style Coupe at the Transmission LA: AV CLUB festival in California.

Presented as part of the company's Avant/Garde Diaries, the model is a four-door coupe that is based on the MFA platform. It features aggressive styling, all-wheel drive and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 211 PS (155 kW / 208 hp).

According to Mercedes' Head of Design, Gorden Wagener, "It's a great opportunity to be part in this exhibition, because we consider our design as part of automotive art. I think this car, in particular, is very avantgardistic, very progressive [and] very aggressive."

Besides unveiling the concept, Mercedes confirmed a production version will be launched in 2013. It will be built in Kecskemét, Hungary and should be available with a variety of engines that produce 109 PS (80 kW / 108 hp) to 211 PS (155 kW / 208 hp).
